From Executive Producer Angad Paul (Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), Cottonopolis Films Presents EMR.

Written and directed by James Erskine and Danny McCullough.
Produced by John Lentaigne, Danny McCullough, James Erskine, and George Calil.

Starring:
Adam Leese (BBC's Holby City) and Whitney Cummings (MTV's Punk'd, VH1's Best Week Ever, Sundance Channel's Festival Dailies).
Featuring Tom Hardy (Layer Cake, Black Hawk Down), Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal), Guy Henry (Bright Young Things) and George Calil (Band of Brothers).
With a soundtrack including The Flaming Lips, Belle and Sebastian and Mates of State.

Culling together numerous conspiracy theories, EMR focuses on Adam (Adam Leese), a lonely and sympathetic character with epilepsy who spends much of his time online. He has developed an internet relationship with a San Francisco woman known as Cyberbunnylilly. Following a massive seizure, Adam regains consciousness in Mexico in a pool of blood and with one less kidney. After collapsing in a church, Adam reawakens back home in England. And so begins the chilling situations which Adam is forced to face, as he repeatedly awakes from blackouts in new places and in dire situations, none of which he appears to have any control over and leaving him with no one he can trust save Cyberbunnylilly. As his attention focuses on the fact that a massive plot against him exists which the pharmaceutical company Pfenal Corp just might be at the center of, events accelerate and Adam deteriorates, throwing even his confidence in Cyberbunnylilly into question. As he struggles to uncover this cabal, the plot twists relentlessly to the stunning climax.

About the filmmakers:

EMR is one of those films that'll have you scratching your head right up to the closing minutes. This rough and ready directorial debut is intriguing enough for viewers to stay hooked until the cat's out of the bag. - BBC

EMR keeps us wrong-footed with its fiendishly complex storyline, constantly shifting locations and sense of existential doom. A shoestring indie that makes up for what it lacks in resources with verve, pace and smarts.- Channel 4

Shows just what can be done with a low-budget if imagination and creative vision are allowed to the fore. There's plenty to be enjoyed in this zippy conspiracy theory effort by James Erskine and Danny McCullough - Tiscali
